Review: As requested, here is an avi of the R2 DVD of And Soon The Darkness released by Optimum in the UK. My opinion: Produced and written by Brian Clemens (& directed by Robert Fuest), this superb British thriller is a favourite of mine and I was surprised not to see the full disc already posted here. An extremely tense film featuring two damsels in distress during a cycling holiday in the gorgeous French countryside. I’ll not spoil the story but it’s edge of the seat stuff as the mystery deepens and turns increasingly nasty. Worth watching alone to see Pamela ‘Legend of Hell House’ Franklin & Michele “oooh Betty” Dotrice cruising around endless country lanes in micro-shorts. Strong on atmosphere and a genuine sense of isolated peril. Recommended !
