Description: Firstly, if you have seen this movie already, you have probably seen the DVD-screener version which has watermark pop up every 5 minutes, telling you that it is a DVD-screener…Very annoy and no doubt, partially responsible for the high volume of negative feedback about this movie.

This is from the out of print, official DVD. Its 2+ hours of German uber gore and splatter-ific mayhem. To call this a bad movie is missing the point, I think. Someone on IMDB called it, ‘as bad as it gets…’ Really? Because I can think of about 150 much, MUCH MORE, poorly conceived and executed splatter flicks than this one. At least this wasn’t made by film-school students in their backyard or the local woods. There is actually a story here, well, okay, a back-story…the locations and photography are excellent, and the gore is so ridiculously over-the-top and non-CGI, the budget for this thing must have been very high for this genre.

Yeah, it goes on too long. The subtitles weren’t great, especially at the beginning. I re-synced them and fixed the terribleness of them. You can’t have 4 lines of subs on a single page all at once. The average watcher is gonna freak out at that and end up not reading them at all. It takes 10 minutes to get through the opening, which means a lot of reading but once you get through it, the rest of the movie has the minimal amount of dialogue. This is a splatter flick which truly delivers the splatter/gore. And lots and lots of female nudity, sex, and women in chains!

I didn’t like this movie much when I first saw the screener. But then I watched about 150 more that really sucked, so when I came back to the movie with the actual dvd, I was pleasantly surprised by the shear amount of gore and carnage. Its trash but a higher quality of trash that one has to be deeply into the genre to appreciate, perhaps…
