At the end of the Spanish civil war, Fando, a boy of about ten, tries to make sense of war and his father’s arrest. His mother is religious, sympathetic to the Fascists; his father is accused of being a Red. Fando discovers that his mother may have aided in his father’s arrest. Sometimes we witness Fando imagining explanations for what’s going on; sometimes we see him at play, alone or with his friend Thérèse. Oedipal fantasies and a lad’s natural curiosity about sex and death mix with his search for his mother’s nature and his father’s fate. Will Fando survive the search?

I agree with Streetzar. Whomebver is writing these synopsis’ , most of them are just useless and senseless. Occasionally comical but really of no value.
If you want more comments and reviews to these movies, you may want to have someone write synopsis which would interest people in watching the movies, instead of confusing them with total nonsense.
And I’ve also noticed there are write-ups which do not explain the premise or storyline of the movie.
They’re write ups about the directors other movies or the actors other movies or the history of some unimportant elelment , like a college student writing a paper on film appreciation. Also totally useless.
