Description: Rex (Adam Smoot) is stage hand who has a hidden talent for hammy acting. Lyman (David Stevens) is an actor in a theater group getting ready to perform a show about the works of Edgar Allen Poe. The two form a strange relationship. They share a love for Poe, Melissa (Ashley Clark), and just being weird in general. Together they embark on an unusual road that leads to blood drinking, sex, and the ghost of Edgar Allen Poe. Voices, moving objects and the house built over the real tomb of Poe by a killer named Usher all combine for chills in this low budget tale. Who will survive the curse of Usher? Review: I couldn’t find any reviews about this movie so I thought I would review it myself. I’ve seen much worse movies that had much bigger budgets. The story was inventive blending fact into the story line. While the acting was so intentionally hammy that Vincent Price would have been proud it really wasn’t unlike many actor types I’ve had contact with. The sets were simple and spooky when necessary. Overall it was a well made, well acted low budget film that gives you a lot of bang for the buck. I would say to watch it if you get the chance.
