This adult popular is late filmmaker Alex De Renzy’s own individual favorite among a human body of work that includes the likes of BABYFACE, FEMMES DE SADE and WILD THINGS. Numerous followers concur. Personally, I believe that while many of his other movies could be more impressive on a purely sexual scale (the today extremely hard to find FEMMES DE SADE in specific) this one surely stands as his greatest combo of hardcore sex with a honest to goodness light ‘n’ breezy bit o’plot.
Stated story actually derives from Voltaire’s literary classic “Candide” about a naive younger thing becoming controlled by all and sundry. This tale is much better understood to many people through the saucy reworking it got by Terry Southern and Mason Hoffenberg for their particular ’60s bestseller “Candy”, itself subjected to a greatly affected movie variation with Ewa Aulin essaying the name part with an all star cast including Richard Burton and, er, Ringo Starr ?
The adult industry has adjusted this eternal tale on (at least) three major events, De Renzy’s effort right here being both the best in addition to most widely known.
