Description: The dead prom queen Mary Lou Maloney returns from the grave to seduce a guy Alex and kill a few people who are getting in the way of their relationship …

Review: “Prom Night” – the series, which did not immediately become happy viewer. The first part was a bit foreign to what unfolded in the next three. As I said in my review of the second part, for nothing sequel creators decided to keep the name for the film «Prom Night». Because there is nothing to bind – the next three parts have a different legend and history, and the first “Prom Night” – just a loser on their background. But at the moment it will analyze the third movie and compare it with the second. The fourth will not touch, because there Mary Lou was gone.

For starters, the fact that the “Prom Night” was a good movie it was after the second part. In the second part first appeared on the show a girl named Mary Lou, who according to legend, was burned alive in 1957, the year (was killed by her boyfriend zarevnoval). In 1987 (in which the unfolding events of the sequel), Mary Lou comes back from the dead, and arranges a bloodbath during the prom. Until the end overcome this tenacious lady and failed, why in trikvela she returns to continue the bloody march through the school. The fact is that the very image of Mary Lou, as slasher heroine – a very original. Where else have you seen slasher to the role of serial killer to appear seductive, but also very cruel beauty in skin-tight blue dress, a la the end of the 50’s? In the sequel, she loved to play with the murder of a man, because she was in life, such as we say in the country, “slut.” In trikvela are all a little different. The writers decided that love is after death, so come back Mary Lou suddenly fell in love with the protagonist trikvela – Alex, than completely changed his life, turning the poor guy in his accomplice.

“Prom Night” is always pleased not only with their murders (and then say good horror of it was obtained from the second part of it), but his well-thought-out, and the scenario. Writers are always carefully wrote out the characters and the very environment in which the action takes films of the series. It is actually not typical slasher of the time, often with the main emphasis was placed on massacres and deaths for the picture (series “Friday the 13th”, “Halloween,” “Nightmare on Elm Street”, “Sleepaway Camp” and etc.), and the plot is more of an application to the film. For the development of the plot in these films was always interesting to watch, and this trend has also been successfully transferred and stored in the remake, released in 2008, the year (talking about the movie “Prom”). Also, the writers who worked on the films of the series, always perform as well on the prehistory, and therefore has always been very clear why maniac became, in fact, a maniac. The creators of the first “prom” tried to create a formidable and memorable maniac, what they have, fortunately, did not happen (then would never have come to light Mary Lou). The creators of the second part of his job done: a beautiful and seductive woman in the role of Mary Lou killer liked, I think it is all in his time men (and, you never know, perhaps, some of the women). And even as it becomes ridiculous by stating on the above facts: failed to create a terrifying serial killer (like Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees), but created a seductive maniac, which is much better remembered by the audience. The idea is really original and can be endlessly praised for her and give a low bow to the creators of the second part.
