Description: This film is extraordinarily beautiful. Beautiful, subtle and beautifully sad love story. Actually this is a classic-modern story vaguely reminiscent of Frisch. Subject preached male loneliness, personal freedom as the only possible form of life, which eventually turns out to be untenable. Beautiful main characters played by Penelope Cruz (Volver and Sleeping Voice) – the embodiment of femininity and Ben Kingsley – the embodiment of masculinity. But here’s the start crisis and incident perception. I do not like this couple, their feelings do not seem to be any real, they do not touch, but on the contrary, cause irritation and rejection. And you really want to treat them differently, but it is impossible.
“Elegy”, I think, an interesting experience, but no more, although the potential of this story is huge, the implementation still pumped up. But for the beauty that is in every thought-frame can be put right.
